Aetos (Greek: Αετός), is the Greek word for “eagle”.

The Allwin family chose this name when James Allwin founded the firm. The Greek use of the name of our national symbol pays homage to his wife’s Greek-American family.

The eagle has been the national symbol of America from its introduction on the Great Seal of the United States in 1782 and is symbolic of the importance of honesty and truthful principles. Greek Americans arrived in the United States with hopes and dreams of strength and success, and the soaring eagle exemplifies this dream.
